Cool show today with a nice diversion by way of a ride in Dom's 308 GT4. Thanks to Dom for reminding Jay and I how thrilling each and every Ferrari is to drive. The sound, the handling, the connection to the road is what sets this breed apart from the transportation appliances clogging our highways.

Also need to pass along another request that we tell everybody we know who might be coming to CC that that first row by Starbuck's is still off-limits to any car that might draw a crowd. That's for people who are popping into 'buck's or Pacific Whey and leaving in 30 minutes or less only. Needs to be kept clear of pedestrians as much as possible. Every spot will be freshly painted with that proviso starting next week and tow trucks will be on call. Nothing new here, just a reminder that those businesses appreciate customers being able to come and go unimpeded.

Also, don't forget that if you are lining up to enter the main lot in the morning you need to shut your engine, shut your stereo, and shut your mouth. We know what a b!tch it is to get up so early on a Saturday and we do it by choice. The local residents would like the same option. Be considerate.

And last but not least (and for some reason this was so bad today it was almost comical), no "for sale" signs or any other kind of advertising visible on your vehicle. Selling on this private property requires a permit and none have been issued at CC. If you insist on turning CC into a swap meet, parking in the side lots would be a better option or at least have the good sense to keep that flyer on your front seat instead of in your windshield or in an otherwise visible spot.

Bonus points for this infraction have to go to the billboard atop that 911 and the unique twist of using a flyer on the Mazdaspeed6 to advertise an available Lexus. Double bonus to the dealer cars parked for 2 hours in front of Starbuck's. Thanks for the visual aids on what NOT to do. Hopefully everybody got the message loud and clear today so no further displays will be necessary.

Weather went from gloomy to great this week and attracted a few more cars than last time. My camera was acting up however, so I scaled back a bit on the number of pics I took. Hope you enjoy them, and whether or not you do, I love any kind of feedback you'd like to leave. Feel free to leave a comment here or e-mail me at frank4cars@aol.com. And thanks again to all of you who continue to support the site with purchases and PayPal donations. It's greatly appreciated.

I've added some additional notes about CC security in my journals section. If you've had any experience regarding security or its enforcement procedures, please read this and pass it on to anybody you know who is thinking of attending CC in the future.

Kind of a slow end to 2005, but even a slow day at CC is a good one. Gloomy skies and Holiday burnout conspired to keep some at home, but a beautiful original DB5 Superleggera, Rick's F40, a pair of CGTs, a pair of CSes, some FGTs, 512 TR and 512 M, Novitec 360, and some nice Shelby Mustangs kept it interesting.

The sun never managed to poke its head out today, but fortunately that didn't keep the groundhogs away. Saw my first Ariel Atom, which is just impossible-to-believe. Some other highlights were Kev's '57 Buick Century, an F40 and F50, several F430s (yellow, corsa, scuderia, black), a bunch of FGTs, a sweet-looking Alfa Junior Zagato, a stunning Bentley with a fresh extreme makeover courtesy of Mr. Shine, the return of one of the D-Type Jags, a Daytona Comp conversion, and a Porsche Diesel tractor! Some people even got themselves and their cars into the Holiday Spirit. Caught a couple of pics of an F430 in the wild too.

Quite a day. Interesting cloud formations signaled that it might be something out of the ordinary. The new lineup produced its own array of striking combinations of old and new, exotic and mundane, fast and wickedly fast, as well as Lamborghini and non-Lamborghini. Lambo Lane alone supplied something like 5,000 hp.

And Lamborghini's own Valentino Balboni stopped by, graciously signing anything that was put in front of him or spending a few minutes answering questions and posing for photos. He even ran into his old friend and former Lamborghini co-worker, Claudio Zampoli of Cizeta fame.

The "other" marques were also well-represented as usual. Although there have been many 57s and 62s at CC before, having a matched set of vintage and new Maybachs show up was just incredible.

Don't forget to leave feedback and suggestions to help me make this site better.

Overnight rains, another show later in the day, and the annual USC-UCLA game doth conspire to make this a fairly weak show. But even on a bleak day, some gems turn up.
